Tim Archie Ph.D.


Tim is a higher education researcher with research interests in student learning in both classroom and co-curricular settings.  Tim received a Ph.D. from Colorado State University, where he conducted research on student learning, engagement, and retention. He has worked for the University of Colorado, Boulder on research projects related to STEM education, college level math teaching and professional development, and perceptions of department climate of early career earth scientists.  Most recently he worked for Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo as the Director of Assessment and Research for Student Affairs. In this role he led the development and assessment of over 150 program level learning outcomes for Student Affairs programs and services. Tim also has teaching experience from Colorado State University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  Tim enjoys spending time in the outdoors skiing, climbing, biking, and hiking with his wife and their three girls.
