Daniel Tofan Ph.D.
Daniel received a B.S. and an M.S. in chemistry from the University of Iasi (Romania), an M.S. in chemistry from École Polytechnique (France), as well as an M.S. and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Georgetown University. Daniel’s postdoctoral project at Stony Brook University (The State University of New York) involved development of a course management system. He was first exposed to IDEA as a faculty member at Eastern Kentucky University, and he further refined his programming skills as a software engineer at Lexmark. Daniel was drawn to his current position in December of 2013 because it allowed him to utilize his unique skill set—experience with IDEA as a faculty member and career-long software development. Daniel works remotely from Richmond, Kentucky, where he resides with his wife and two children.
